In this video, it is explained that before exporting a PDF, you first need to create a template. This is important because the template defines how the PDF will look when downloaded (layout, columns, orientation, logo, etc.).
To create the template, click on the PDF icon at the top and select “Create New PDF Template.” Then, add a title and choose the template type: it can be a table type (for multiple rows) or a row type (for a single record). You also select the orientation, either portrait or landscape.
Next, you can edit the PDF elements: move the logo, change the text, adjust the font size, add a description or the date, and choose which columns you want to display. You can also enable totals for numeric columns and adjust the table to fit the page width. Finally, save the template.
Once the template is created, there are three ways to download the PDF:
Download all rows:
If no rows are selected, go to the PDF icon and click download.
The PDF will include all rows in the table.Download specific rows:
Select only the rows you want to download (for example, four).
Then click the PDF icon and download.
The PDF will include only the selected rows, along with their total and quantity.Download by group (Group By):
If a group (group by) is applied, expand the group and a PDF icon will appear.
Click it and download the template.
Only the rows within that specific group will be downloaded, including their corresponding total and quantity.
